This led to the development of a company focused on AI technology to offer detailed urban temperature viewpoints, helping planners and residents make informed decisions.

Extreme heat can result in heat-related health issues and mortality, particularly affecting vulnerable groups. With urbanization increasing, many people may face life-threatening heat by 2100. Rising temperatures also disrupt sleep and day-to-day productivity, especially for outdoor workers.

It offers advisory services to help identify heat hotspots for urban improvements.

The startup aims to integrate its technology into platforms that offer insights on less hot neighborhoods or optimal routes for outdoor activities. Meanwhile, other platforms and companies are incorporating climate-related information and deploying AI tools to address urban heat challenges.

The demand for high-resolution urban temperature data is evident, yet it's crucial how this information is utilized. Effective education, warning systems, and incorporation into urban planning and building codes are essential for addressing the urban heat issue effectively.
